Favorite Walk Around Shoes.

Tramsey...not to sound redundant, but go to a store and try on a pair of Merrells...I also have foot problems. Reebok and Nike are names only, and you pay for that with no comfort for long periods....Like another person posted, there is no breaking in Merrells...and believe me, I have tried everything!!
I tried them all to, Reebok, Nike, New Balance, Rockport and on and on. I haven't tried Merrill yet. I'll see if they have a local dealer and if not I'll pick up a pair at Amazon.
Thanks

I have three lens. I like to challenge myself and just take one lens to do walk around photography. That means I need the right shoes to get the best angle/composition. What is your favorite walk around shoe?
I generally wear a hiking boot. No brand in particular. I'm also a geocacher so may find myself climbing up hills and through woods at any time.

Try either ECCO, or Mephisto, Both shoes are handmade and doesnt take long to break them in. I have one pair of ECCO shoes that i have been wearing for over 4 years. They just dont wear out!!! And there are styles just built for walking. I have used them to walk on cement, cobblestones, gravel, well, just about any surface.

Anything made by Merrill....awesomely comfortable!!! For guys and gals.
Ditto - the most comfortable walking shoes I have ever bought
Being a diabetic, I wear nothing but SAS Pathfinders. Unfortunately, they are no longer manufactured, so I am looking for another shoe.

FREE ! Don't hand me that line.....
You paid for them and paid dearly. If nothing else, you first had to make them shine and then had to break them in. Took me 6 weeks in '60. But I will agree, great boot.
OK ya got me. FREE of monetary charge, all it cost me was 7 tears of indentured service and a lap through Drill Sergeant Academy, Basic Leadership School, NCO Academy.
Still Smilin :)

I have a size 10 foot, with a narrow foot and high arch. Shoe shopping for me is a real struggle. I have to admit that I have never even heard of a lot of the names of shoes that have been thrown out here. That being said, the other problem that I have is having to try shoes on to see how they feel, so mail order is not an option. So, I go to places like Rack Room Shoes, Dick's Sporting Goods, and athletic shoe stores, and usually end up purchasing men's shoes that fit me. It appears that the shoe manufacturers haven't caught on that some women's feet are larger than a size 6. So whatever fits my feet, and is fairly inexpensive is what I get. Have a pair of Nike and easy Spirit sneakers, a pair of Quest hiking boots, and a pair of Coleman sandals. They all work for me.
