Where is it? - Flash article

In the introductory blurb it says:
"- One simple technique that allows you to use your flash in a way that makes your pictures look as if flash wasn't used at all. (The opposite of deer-in-headlights amateurish pictures you would normally get when using flash.) So if you hate using flash because it makes your pictures look bad, then you really need to learn this."

Searching for flash or portions of the above text give hundreds of hits. No way to find what it referenced.

On Trey Ratcliff's site, the "ad" for this forum says"1 Weird Photography trick" but the link just goes to the Intro. Blurb.
Again, no way to find it.

It would be nice if the text contained a link to the subject.

Does anyone have enough information to find the above topics?
Thanks,
Rob

Don't you just hate "teasers"!! Shows just enough to make you interested, but then wants you to buy it. Sorry, not much help here.

I suggest you read this (current) thread - seems to be the same as yours.

I read it, but it seems to have zero content, just advice to look into all the other threads.
Thanks

In the introductory blurb it says: br "- One ... (show quote)

The problem with trying to find specific info here is that we have too many members making too many comments. We should limit membership to about half a dozen people.

Seriously, we do have a problem with information overload, and many posts are titled something like, "Help!" That's useless in a search.

If you want info on flash photography, try this site.

http://strobist.blogspot.com/

Or this one.

http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=171657

Or, just Google "flash photography." There are millions of answers and opinions on using flash - on camera and off.

Enjoy your time on UHH, but remember that it's just a bunch of people giving their opinions and advice.

Nice. I like his comment about "purists who insist on using only available light." I read an article about flash in a photo mag, and the author said that flash can also be considered "available light." It's available, so if you need it, use it.

I took a chance and signed up for that with my alternate email address. It looks like you get a daily email with written tips and a video.

This text suggests the technique of blending (or balancing) flash lighting with ambient lighting: “use your flash in a way that makes your pictures look as if flash wasn't used at all.”

Neil Van Niekerk discusses this subject on his Website:

Making flash not look like flash:

http://neilvn.com/tangents/flash-photography-techniques/1-natural-looking-flash/

He calls it “natural looking flash..”

Rob, welcome to UHH, this probably doesn't fully answer your question, but try this link.

http://neilvn.com/tangents/flash-photography-techniques/1-natural-looking-flash/ It should be along the same lines.

Reminds me of a commercial photographer I assisted.

The assistants called him Mr. Available light...every light available. He knew how to use it. Great photographer.
