Oh I don't care what my camera is set to. It drifts quite a bit and if I care I would have to set it once a month at least whether it's GMT or whatever.
Now you give me the idea. I will leave it on standard time. It's my kind of time. It's a way for me to protest the DST.

I am not usually one that backs the government for their decisions but this time they are not to blame. Several years ago several legislators in Congress decided to do something about the time changes since most people so disliked the change. They would change the law and stay at one time throughout the year.
The big decision to be made however was WHICH time to go to permanently? Several studies and surveys were run and they found to their surprise that it was found half wanted DST and the other half did not. And, it was a diverse mix of people, groups, industries, and activities that had a viable opinion.
The politicians decided to do NOTHING which is perfectly understandable. Would any politician do something that is guaranteed to make 50% of the voters upset with him, no matter which way he voted to change the law?

If business wants to open earlier in reality, they can open earlier on their particular clock, which is actually only displaying the number of degrees between the sun and a plane (no, not one with wings) travelling through the rotational poles of Earth. One hour as a durational measurement is universal for the entire planet and applying different names to a portion of the day because of where you live on this planet is a convenience only.

If it won't line their pockets - politicians won't vote for it.
Numerous studies have linked an increase in traffic deaths to the DST time shift where an hour of sleep is lost.
Politicians don't care - or they'd agree on the simple bill to just Kill DST.
I wonder why more states just don't follow Arizonas lead and lock their clocks.
