Everyone's age today is 2023

When you read it, it sounds plausible. It's like the trick I used to pull on friends I worked with. I told them that I bet that we could check the birth dates of thirty people and before we were finished we would find two who had the same birthday. It worked every time.

"Experts can't explain it", that's the problem, the "experts" are rather dull. This is an EVERY year occurrence, if you want to know the current year, when you do the math, and the birthday has already passed, as has been mentioned and explained by a number of non-"expert" hoggers. (At our house, if we want to remember the age of our middle son, we just consider what year it is, as he was born in early 2000.)

I can't believe that this discussion is actually generating so much interest - or is that a good thing? Probably. It's getting response from people who rarely post,(like me) and that has got to be good.
If I have ten marbles, and if I get another ten marbles, it is possible I have lost my marbles.

Best wishes all round.

I tried it and it worked for me! (I was born in 1936 and my age is 87 = 2023)!

I will be seventy November 19. I was born 1953. So if I apply my 1953+70 that’s 2023 but I am currently not 70 as I am 69 which comes out to 2022.

To paraphrase another great mind (whom I’ve forgitten😳): “One should never under estimate the intelligence of UHH followers!”

Interesting--one of those quirky math things.

No mystery here. Doesn't this work for every year? Next year you will be 1936 + 88 = 2024. What field are the experts from? BS?

This happens every year, except the total will be one year greater--because you are a year older!

Right. Something like that was removed from Facebook a few years ago because it's nonsense.

That's because the admins couldn't understand it, it didn't fit in with their beliefs

doesn't work for me (yet); I was born in December. I'm still 2022 years old.

Will not work if you haven’t had your birthday yet. For me, right now I’m 82 and will be until December. So 82+ 1940 = 2022.

This is entirely different. I have seen this work. It's a matter of statistics. But you use only the month and day not year.

Not really a big math discovery
