But, but, but Linda, how will we survive without their membership fees?
I'm willing to cut back on Stella's cat litter in order to contribute more to the cause; what about you and Bertie?

I just went back and tried that. What I found was a mixture of new subjects and old subjects. When I looked at the next page, I found that it included thousands of pages. I just want to look at the new subjects. Why not show them first and let someone that wants to look back do that at the end of the list of new subjects? Is that too complicated? Why make it more complicated?
Not sure I fully understand your concern but let me just tell you what my approach is.
I don’t look at the Digest.
I subscribed to a few Sections that interest me. (To subscribe/unsubscribe to a Section, go to the bottom of any UHH page and click on “All Sections” to get a list and brief description of all UHH forum sections; pick the ones you might be interested in and click on “Subscribe”; you can unsubscribe any time)
Back on the top of UHH pages you will find “Newest Topics”. Clicking on that takes you to a list of new topics in the Sections you are subscribed to.
When you look at a topic, you have an option to “watch” it. When you click on “Watch”, the topic gets added to your personal “Watched Topics” list. This list is accessed via the “Watched Topics” button at the top of the UHH pages. If there are any new comments in any of your “watched” topics, this button will show in bold letters.
So, I look at my “Watched Topics” list to read any new posts and I click on “Newest Topics” to read any new topics that might be of interest.
I also check “Newest Pictures” for items of interest.
Hope this helps.

I HATE the new format. It makes no sense to me: no structure, and I have to scroll through the whole lot just to find subjects I am interested in. That wastes a lot of time. Please return to headline format.
All you have to do is go to the top of the page and click on home and you get the sections that you subscribe to, pretty easy to keep up with the sections you're interested in.
I have been a reader of Ugly Hedgehog for many years now but will probably move on to something else. What I wante was in the first section and the rest of the newsletter basically didn't apply to Me. Now I have to search the whole thing for the parts that originally applied to Me. I don't have this kind of time or inclination to go on a major search every Morning. Sorry but I say go back to the Original Format or lose Me and who knows how many Readers.

You've posted eight comments, including this one, since 2014. Will you be missed?

If I cut back on Blue’s food she would leave little droppings in my hair, well, on the top of my bald head.
Will it be a week or less before the hen house settles and we can get back to using protective filters?
It probably won’t last much longer because old people’s memories are very short term.

I'm attempting to silence the worst offenders of "I'm entitled to use this free site even though I never make a comment to support its members!" Someone who has written six comments in seven years is threatening to leave? OMG, the horror!
But isn’t it important enough that they look at this forum once or twice a year?
😁
As long as they maintain the auto withdrawal for paying dues, it doesn't matter much if they post and participate.

OK… I’m old. And that is likely why I don’t adapt easily to change. But, when the recent change here on UHH happened, I thought it would be OK. Today, though, I am a bit lost. Can’t find my groups… my whole UHH experience has changed and not for the better. At least not for me. (Your mileage may vary.)
Routine keeps me going. Everything has a place and everything is in that place. Adjusting to a new routine is tough for this old bird. Not that my comments will change anything, but thought I’d put them out there in case other UHH’ers are experiencing the same frustration.
I’ll eventually adapt. But, it’ll be struggle for a while, at least.

The whole new format sucks a s and the okole poka that thought it up sucks a s. Must be one of the new brain giants they are breeding these days. Not impressed.
If it works leave it alone.

I can only think that it’s easier for Admin to publish this each day.
It’s certainly not for everyone else. Why would they possibly think it’s easier to find your favorite posts without a structure?
NONSENSE.

If you read Admin's topic on the subject, you'd know the reason and wouldn't have to "think."
