I just went back and tried that. What I found was a mixture of new subjects and old subjects. When I looked at the next page, I found that it included thousands of pages. I just want to look at the new subjects. Why not show them first and let someone that wants to look back do that at the end of the list of new subjects? Is that too complicated? Why make it more complicated?

"Piles" is a pretty apt description of my discomfort with this new format.

Ouch Linda. John Milton in On His Blindness was wondering how as a blind man he could serve the Lord. The answer that came to him was that they who only "stand and wait" also serve. We have no way of knowing how the the person you responded to serves our hobby and profession or when he might supply a response that will make all the difference to some reader of this forum. Thanks.

Public Perception. That user wrote, "I don't have this kind of time or inclination to go on a major search every Morning. Sorry but I say go back to the Original Format or lose Me and who knows how many Readers."

No time or inclination to learn the basics (including that a "major search" is unnecessary). A warning he's outta here if the old format isn't brought back.

I appreciate your thoughtful reply, but I stand by my comments.

If you read Admin's topic on the subject, you'd know the reason and wouldn't have to "think."

I don’t appreciate the insult, Linda. And I’m quite surprised and disappointed that you would do so.

Having spent my entire career in IT, this is what happens when an IT person looks at analytics and draws only one of several possible conclusions.

That’s what I “think.”

It's not an insult, it's the truth. It looks like most of those complaining about the new digest format haven't bothered to read Admin's statement, or take suggestions that have been made to do the same thing without using the digest.

I agree that Change is not always the best. Some follow in the footsteps of other sites which is not always the best for their own site.

I sent a message to Admin to let them know of my dissatisfaction with the change.

You read too much into the comment. You were guessing and I suggested you go to the source. However, Swanda is correct. People prefer to complain - loudly - than learn a few simple tricks.

Ditto's - Don't like new format, hopefully the powers that be will listen to the audience and revert.

I wasn’t guessing. I read the admin post. My analysis still stands.

I don’t remember seeing anyone complaining about the structure of the posts, and asking for changes. The admin made a whole bunch of assumptions on how the new structure would be more efficient and better for everyone, and said it was time to move on. Really? Exactly what problem were they trying to solve?

If admin received a lot of complaints or suggestions for improvements, they should have communicated that to the community.

Something people seem to not understand: The Admin is the person who owns/runs this site and can do whatever they want to with it. They are not responsible to anyone for any changes that they decide to make on here. They don't have to consult with anyone on here as to changes they decide to make. This is THEIR site to do with as THEY PLEASE. If some don't agree with the changes that are made they can leave and find somewhere else to go. No one on here is paying for this site, there are no dues or membership fees, it is FREE. Yet, because the admin made some changes they don't like, they are crying like little babies. Grow up, people.

The site is FREE because they get paid by advertisers. One would think they wouldn't want to p**s off their membership who determines how much they get paid? It's all about clicks. They're not running this site out of the kindness of their heart.

Time for me to move on from this diatribe.
