Gouldopfl, if you bought it for clogging, how did it do flat-footing?

Excellent and mint are worlds apart.
Then respond to me when you read what was posted by the OP.

The OP will have his new camera in hand before this ends.

I love when posters throw cigarette butts in the punch bowl, but don’t offer examples (of which accusations aren’t). I’ve bought and sold to MPB on 4 occasions with complete satisfactions. On the 3 sell transactions, they offered the best offer by 5%-10% and process a walk in the park. On the 1 buy, all went smoothly and the camera and accessory was as advertised. I did call with a question after receiving the purchased item. The cus serv rep provided the clarification I sought and opened the return window in case I had concerns.

I have to agree. On the sale side, I sold 2 lenses and graded them as good. I got a quote which was higher than other venues. After I sent them in, they graded them as excellent and sent additional money for that grade.

After seeing your photo of the 'scratch' it seems obvious that you have never really used a camera. That mar is so small as to be non-existent. You got what you ordered. Now learn it, put an L-Plate on it (you won't see it) and see how pristine it is after 30,000 images have been made.

It's also obvious that you didn't read the thread.

You are right. I did not read all 6 pages. I read the initial post and looked at the image the OP finally posted. No more was needed.

Actually your post wasn't needed because a decision has already been made and acted upon.

It's amazing, even in 'real life', how many people want to be heard, but never want to listen.

You’ve gotten plenty of good advice. If the camera functions as expected, a scratch like that PROBABLY wouldn’t bother me. However, if it bothers you, return it and buy new.

Actually, while my use of 'mint' is incorrect; your reply is off base.
My comment does not refer to his initial post but most recent where he says....'to this end I will be returning the Z6 and paying extra to have "as new" '.
While my choice of words here was in error; the intent and point are still the same. Maybe 'As New' is better than 'Mint'.
So, A1776..maybe you should take a little more time to consider what you are saying..and be constructive.

A miniscule scratch would be a common thing on a used excellent product.
Having bought many Excellent and Excellent + (+++) products all have some exterior flaws, that is to be expected. Look at the photos and descriptions etc. finding an excellent that is flawless would be an exceptional find. Thus my post is completely appropriate.
Mint is a different category

Good thing that the only opinion that matters here is the OP's! He's dealing with a good company and will completely be satisfied in the end.

Who or what is MPB?

It’s so secretive that even google can’t find it, so don’t waste your time trying it.

I agree with most of the posts here, if you want "perfect", at least cosmetically, buy new. I bought a minivan that had been in a wreck, rebuilt, and dumped at an auction. I paid about $2000 less than what a pristine example of the same mileage would cost. It's got a bumper that slightly misaligned and some of the paint doesn't match exactly, but it's been 100% reliable in 18 months. Yes, I will also get less for it when I sell it, but I financed less money to pay for it. Basically used is always going to have some issues. Also new products can have issues, there's obviously quality parameters for production or you would never make any money and go out of business. Also @Thomas902 has a good point about refurbished cameras, these are warranty replacements, fixed mechanically and put into a new shell, new screen, so it looks like new, and you save some money. Of course there is usually only a short warranty to you, but the warranty eventually runs out on everything, and there might be a smaller chance something else would break. You either want a "trophy" piece of gear sitting pristinely on the shelf, or use it, dings and all. YMMV. Caveat Emptor. Void where prohibited by law. Tag may only be removed by purchaser. You pay your money and take your chances, as it were. Life is short, enjoy the ride, and take nice pictures along the way.

I've purchased several Nikon DSLR bodies from MPB, most recently a D500 in Like New condition. I find them very easy to deal with. If you are in the least unhappy, suggest you return the camera under their return policy.
