I dropped my well used Canon 90D, and was seeking a new one from B&H. Just received notice from that the 90D has been discontinued. What a shame. It was, in my humble opinion an excellent camera, and Worked well with my collection of EF and EFS lenses from Canon and Tamron. Sad day.

Never spend new money for an old camera, such as an August 2019 release. You can find many used at a discount vs the new camera price.

Or, see what the world is really telling you with this sign: go mirrorless.

Watching our work horses being retired. I’m shooting with a 5d4 and 7d2, so I’m seeing the same thing.

Not a Canon user but, Sony has discontinued ALL their DSLR's ending the long run of A mount bodies. Won't be too long before DSLR's are a distant memory like film cameras when DSLR's 1st came on the scene.

B&H offers a "request stock alert" (2 - 4 weeks) on a new body without lens. I don't see any in the Used Dept right now, but have found much to spend money on there in the past

The Canon site is offering some refurbished bodies.

If you are really wanting to replace that camera with the same model Canon has them in stock in their refurbished sales. I seriously doubt that they have discontinued it because they have not yet announced a mirrorless replacement, that is coming however. I think that because of Covid Canon is having difficulty maintaining stock.

Likely another reason why you really aren't seeing any sale prices on a R5 or R6 let alone any refurbished.

According to B&H's website, 90D in kit with lenses (several options) are in stock.

They are showing 90D "body only" currently out of stock but more on the way (expected in 2 to 4 weeks).

Seeing that some sellers including Canon have inventory says nothing about whether manufacturing has been discontinued. When factory and seller inventory is sold, that’s the end except maybe for factory refurbished.

I find it surprising the 90D would be discontinued. It is the top dog APS-C camera and hasn't been out very long. I noticed a number of EF lenses have been discontinued and a bunch more always seem to be on backorder. Could be supply chain and/or conversion to mirrorless.

Side note: Not long ago they raised the price of the venerable 100 2.8L IS from 899 to 1299. Since they rarely raise prices, especially by nearly 50%, I wondered if an RF version was coming soon and they didn't want a big price gap between the two. Sure enough, an RF version was soon announced for 1399.
