Wife and I are both on Android, so we use NFC; maybe Apple has NFC. Then you just put your phones within near proximity and follow the prompts. The other option is to get a TOGO connector for USB sticks, one for the Android and the other for the iPhone. Copy the files to the stick and the from it to the other phone.

Which “cloud” should the source person upload to? .She has Android and is not an Apple IF iCloud user!

Google Drive, or Microsoft Onedrive, or Dropbox.

Or better, get her an iPhone.

I have a Google Pixel 3a Android phone that takes jpeg and raw photos. I use both Google Photos and Dropbox to share photos. They both work well. However, when I want to transfer a lot of photos from my Android phone to my iMac I use Android file transfer (https://www.android.com/filetransfer/). You connect a cable from the phone to your Mac. It is a little kludgy, but I can drag and drop files from the phone to the computer. Once on my computer I can process/send them wherever I want. OR you can get a card reader to move the photos from the phone to an SD card (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00KX4TORI/ref=psdc_3312807011_t2_B011D8ASOU).

Move the photos into Drop Box and then you will be able to access and/or move them to the new iPhone. Very easy!! Good luck!

Have you tried attaching the Android phone to your computer via USB and dragging images?

One procedure I just saw was to create an account in Dropbox, download the Dropbox app to each respective phone, and transfer through your account. If you have a newer iPhone and a PC, you could possibly copy your Android photos to the PC and then copy them back to the iPhone. The newer iPhones can do this without using iTunes. When I plug my iPhone 10 into my PC it’s recognized by Windows 10 as another device in File Explorer, then it’s just drag and drop or Copy and Paste. I do it all the time to put my iPhone photos on my PC but haven’t tried it to do the reverse. Don’t see why it wouldn’t work that way. Android phones should have no problem interfacing with a PC.

If you have a Mac (or a Macbook) this should work.... Plug your wifes phone into the Mac via usb. It should show up as an external drive. Select the pics you want and drag them to your PHOTOS icon on your Mac. If you have your Mac photos synced with your Iphone, the pictures will show up on your Iphone after the next sync (usually takes overnight to sync, maybe longer depending on your situation). They will show up in your iphone photos same place where your photos are.

I'm with Paul and several others. I set up a Dropbox account. Part of that setup is where to store pictures on the phone and I selected to save the files on both the phone and Dropbox. ALL of our phones and computer are updated via Dropbox daily. I do have a "business" Dropbox account but I'm fairly sure the same update across all computers/phones is the same on the free account. Take care & ...

My dilemma is similar...I have no problem emailing photos from my old, but still good, Android Note 5 (don't laugh...it's dying). I just recently started using it at pet adoptions and casual occasions with nice results. I then save the photos as a file so that I can import to PSE18. My problem is ensuring the size and quality. Sharing directly from the phone usually works, but, as you probably know, with Google, your Android photos are synced to Google on your computer. I sometimes lose size and quality when I share directly from Google photos. And saving to file or downloading directly is a disaster. I have no problems with Google photos or albums with my DSLR photos which I import directly from my memory cards. I'm not a whiz at understanding size, quality, bits, and pixels...I'm trying...thanks to chg.Canon, Shapiro. Burk and other knowledgeable UGG's...but I'm really confused with this cell phone issue!

I have tried to find out how to get photos transmitted from my wife’s Android phone into my iPhone?

The only hidden method found is for her to attach photo files to an email to me. That is impractical due to e-mail rules of allowing less that two attached files or the attempt will not be capable to send!?

An suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!! 😁

Do you have a PC at home? If so, use the phone cord to plug into the USB port. The PC should find the connection as a "drive". Open "My PC" and locate the phones drive. Click to open, a folder DCIM should be there, open it and all the camera photos should be there, there also may be other folders to review. Create a "new folder" on the desktop, thence either drag and drop photos into the new folder or highlight and save to the new folder. Once in the new folder on your PC, you can edit them as you wish and select photos to email. This process works with Androids, Iphones and cameras. Good luck!

Open google photos. Go to the lower right and click on share.

Now sharing iPhone photos with Android is more of a mystery.

Get free Gmail and use Google Drive. You can send monstrous files and recipients do not need Gmail.

Or text

Create a free ('basic' version to 2GB) dropbox for both users that can be accessed by both phones. The set-up admin is probably easier from a computer rather than finger pecking from a phone, but moving files around is easy from each phone.

BEST IDEA GOOD RESPONSE!

Why not use google photos? . Create an album and then just send the link. They then can download the photos.

Let me repeat.

IPHONE IS READ-ONLY.

I have an iPhone8.
Yes, I can run USB cable from computer to iPhone.
Yes, I can see DCIM directory/folder.
Yes, I can copy a JPEG from iPhone to computer.
NO, NO, NO, I cannot copy anything from computer to iPhone.
If I copy on computer, paste is grayed out on iPhone.
If I drag file from computer to iPhone, it bounces back to computer.
I am guessing this is a 'virtual' folder - Apple has created software that looks like data.
