Here's a newer, similar link...

I've not done this ... so you should make sure you are not injuring anything on your Apple phone while transferring files. If resetting is mandatory for the process and there are things on the phone you don't want to lose, I'd stop and do more research before proceeding. If there are files on the iPhone that MUST be wiped to do the process, backing it up first would be the plan ... then restoring that data later after transferring the photos from the Android phone. I hope that makes sense.

I hope I've not led you astray. Someone else who has done this will surely chime in. :-)

I'm sorry ... one more. For just transferring photos, this video suggests the use of the Google Photos App...

I have tried to find out how to get photos transmitted from my wife’s Android phone into my iPhone?

The only hidden method found is for her to attach photo files to an email to me. That is impractical due to e-mail rules of allowing less that two attached files or the attempt will not be capable to send!?

An suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!! 😁

Larry,

You can login to an apple icloud account on the android phone, this gives you access to the images/files for apple. Basically go to a browser on android and type www.icloud.com. You will be prompted to login with the apple ID the apple account is under. (This of course would only work if the apple device was setup to perform backups to icloud).

I hope I'm not hijacking this thread, but I bought a "dongle" with an i-phone male on one end and an SD card slot on the other but I still can't get it to download files from the phone to the computer and then from the computer to transfer PP'd files to the phone. I want my i-phone to have only good, selected photos on it in the pictures file.

My wife likes to photo-share with friends who have Android phones. The only “painless” method I have found is to have them set up a shared album in Google Photos. On the iPhone, Google Photos can automatically import all of your iOS Photos app photos, so they are all there ready to be shared. Of course, that gives Google a(nother) foothold into your phone, so you have to decide what exposure you want to add to Google’s permeation of our universe...

Goggle is omipresent with Android system but it gives you a lot of perks with the photo storage and sharing. I figured a while back to set up a Gmail for myself and wife that we can have for the rest of our lives. You can always access your photos from any where and email. Don't have to worry about changing ISP. Upgrading to another phone is a snap.
Bottom line, it is a good way to share photography.

Perhaps two dikfferent ways.
1. Connect your Android to your computer and copy the files to your desktop/laptop
2. Connect you Iphone to your desktop and copy the from your computer.

Second method: Connect you Android to your computer and import the files via ITunes, then down load them to you IPhone.

Hope this helps.
