Great series! Will that juvenile merlin shot stand a closer crop?
Dave
Thanks!
Merlin? If you're referring to the last shot, that is a Peregrine Falcon. It was pretty far away and cropping it really isn't much of an option due to quality.
Spectacular series! Quality composition with judicial cropping, beautiful color saturation. Pinpoint sharpness and detail. Audubon would be proud of you. WOW!
You images wet my appetite for the 200-500 lens. Well done.
Wow. I've been thinking 1.4 to go with my 200/500, just sold me thanks...
NICE work ! - How are you holding the camera/lens ?? ........thanks for sharing

I cannot make a definitive ID from this photo, , but if I HAD to say I would say Merlin ....too. But since you were there and hopefully saw MORE !
Hey! You're good!!

Great series. I bet you will be going back sometime.
It looks to me like you had a great day of shooting a wide variety of birds, etc.

Better lighting? Are you serious? These shots are wonderful.
Amazing series. We have a local park where we see many of these birds, less the gators, of course. I especially like your first image of the night heron. During the warmer/drier times, we have that green algae plaguing our park lakes. I have always found that to be rather ugly. However, you first image is outstanding with the green water and background. Now, I'll look at the lakes with a different perspective. Most excellent images.

Thanks for posting.Driving around that park twice in one day was one of the most enjoyable days of photographing I have experienced. There were so many animals to see, but I did not see some you photographed. Loved the baby gators. I think if I lived down there, I would go there often.
David,
Great work! The overcast sky actually was beneficial because it diffused the light and improved shadow detail, which is excellent in your series. You did an awesome job.
Thanks for posting,
Bob
