Yes, my siblings and I made lots of those in our time.
Thanks for bringing back a fond memory! I had one exactly like it as a young lad and to this day I still recall the sting of the iodine that my grandma would put on my road-rashes.
Cool shot. Ah, those were the days~
I have good memories of those things. We had an unusually steep road in the neighborhood and you could really get moving. However, I almost ran under a truck on one.

Brings back fond memories of my childhood, PM, thanks.
Great memories from that shot. I had one of those but mine was faster than that one.
My mother used to buy Iodine by the gallon
I think the kid on the back is supposed to be the brakeman.

Brings back some great memories.
Bravo! You nailed it man.
Remember them days and we had lots of fun. Kids today looses out on many fun experiences by staying indoors. About 12 years ago we made 3 crates and bought some wheels for a skateboard. Our grandkids enjoyed making their own scooters. Since we live on a hill they enjoyed going down it on the scooter. One of our grandsons decided he wanted to build a soap box derby but he fiberglassed the exterior. He sure had a lot of fun.
