I have a question I need a little help on. I took a picture of my daughter and son in law a couple of days ago. I put it in to PSE and edited the picture but had trouble getting the glare of my son in law head. How do I do this without it looking like he got hit in the head with a frying pan. My wife wants to picture to put on a wall. Thanks for your help.
I don't have Elements but I think this recent thread will help
http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-60851-1.htmlIf Elements works like CS5, using the clone tool set to "darken" at about 20% opacity should get you there eventually. Build it up gradually. Nice looking couple!
(I prefer to call mine a
proceeding forehead rather than
receeding hairline.)

Would a polarizer help? Some PP software will allow you to add a polarizer effect.
Thank You and I will try that.

You are most welcome! Hope it will work.
Sac, it can probably be done. I am NO expert with PS. I shot a model in the spring and had a foto that I really liked but wound up not using it for the same reason. It was blown out in a small area and her skin was so perfect I could not reproduce the area no matter what I tried since it was blown out and had a pixel hole in it. Again I am no expert. Maybe somebody can help you with it. Another tread earlier today or yesterday had the same question. See if you can find it. Good luck
Do exactly what Goofynewfie says to do. This took me only a couple of minutes to do. Not perfect, but you get the idea.
I did that last night and your right about following Goofynewfie instructions. The picture came out looking like the one you touched up. Thank you very much for your input and I learned a bunch.
In Photoshop there's what is called the ''cloning tool'' and that's usually the simplest way.

PaintShop Pro X4. Cloning of surrounding skin onto the shiny spot, slight bit of careful smudging to blur the edges of the clones.
Glare fix
Thank All of you for your outstanding help. I now have it down as I have taken your advice and got it down. Once again all I can say is thank you.

I'm more bald than the subject in your photo so I get a lot of practice at fixing my wife's shots that I'm in!
Hi Sac, an other simple way if you have PS is to use the lass0 tool, go to edit - fill - content aware. My input may be a wee bit late - sorry about that.
