Thanks for sharing. Have a great Memorial Day!
Great photos of this iconic aircraft!
Excellent, James: sharp, clear, interesting.

Hi Folks, had the privilege of photographing this beautiful aircraft today and thought I'd share a few snap shots. Haven't had much of anything to post lately, so I sure hope you enjoy these. Also, hope everyone has a good Memorial Day holiday and thanks for stopping by.

I really must give your Sony a grade of A+. I can't believe how sharp these images are. I should consider switching to Elements as I am paying all this $$ for the subscription version of Lr / Ps. I use it only once in a while.
Wonderful looking set...great captures.

Had opportunity to fly her with my two brothers about 10 years ago. It’ll be hard to top that experience.
Beautiful shots. A true tribute to a time gone bye.

I flew on Aluminum Overcast last year when I went to Oshkosh. We were bussed out to Appleton where we did the orientation and then flew for about 20 or 25 min past Oshkosh to Fond Du Lac and back. It was quieter than I expected, but then they were only running the 1,000 HP engines at a fraction of their power. It was really neat to fly on a piece of (almost) history - it was built too late to see action in the war. The tickets were almost sold out several weeks before the show. I got one of the last flights of the week.

Very good detailed pictures. Your pictures show that plane has really been given some TLC.
The Commemorative Air Force is going to have the "Texas Raiders" B-17
visit for three days here in Olathe, KS on May 31st + June 1st & 2nd (at the New Century Air Center). It was built in 1945 at the end of July in Long Beach, California. There were over 12,000 built and now there are fewer than a dozen still flying. The information I have indicates you can go for a B-17 ride for $475.00. This time I think I will stay on the ground and watch it take off and land since I already took a ride in one several years back.

Thanks for letting everyone know your information Frank. I have photographed the "Texas Raider", those photos can be seen here:
https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-550983-1.html. I've been to that Airport in Olathe a few times having worked in Ottawa Ks some 25 years. Also the headquarters for Garmin. I love the whole Kansas City area and my daughter still lives there. Hope you get to see the B-17. They are impressive to see in person.
Cool photos of an iconic plane.
Great set of photos. I got to fly on a B24 a couple of years ago. As a kid I lived less than a mile from
where they built so many of those planes known as Liberators. They called our little town Liberator Village
then. I was so excited about flying in that plane that I did not get very many good photos. Next time it
comes through town I want to try that again.

Another outstanding documentation my friend. All the shots are perfect but the cockpit photo is absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing, take care and be well.

Thanks Phil, I appreciate your comments. Been listening to WLW Cincinnati AM radio 700 late at night when I can't sleep. Listening to all the truckers call in on the America's Trucking Network show. The show can be comical sometimes. Plus, coming out of Cincinnati, it reminds me of our trip to Dayton last year. Sure was a grand trip and I'm so honored we got to meet. You take care yourself as well my friend.
Thanks everyone for stopping by. Read all your comments this morning while sipping coffee. I do appreciate each and every comment.
Great shots James! I see you are enjoying the move up to the Mark IV!
