For an environmental portrait the background don't bother me very much, however the image looks a bit muddy and her skin looks dirty( which I believe is from under exposure).
This is a young lady I would have invited to my Studio when I had one.

Did you download the image? Or even look at the image I posted as a link?
First image, there are issues with it but not 'muddy'.
Second image, there are still two issues with it, since corrected but not posted.
I really like the last image. For me i would try and lift the top of her head from the background slightly and i would remove the stray hair on her face. Great picture well done.

I had to think long and hard before replying...
You are implying that you were taking pictures of young women just because they were 'attractive'? What kind of business did you run? I find no justification for this, especially if you were an established photographer. This is highly unprofessional.
When I had my own studio, I only had people I paid or who were paying me. There is no way I would ask any attractive person, male or female, to come to the studio to 'pose for me'.
As a student, I asked friends, male or female, to pose for me and a few times paid prostitutes for figure photography.
In this particular case, I ASKED AND PAID the young woman (large print). I did that after asking her aunt if I could ask her. Not only that, I asked for the aunt to be present when I shot the few captures. This lasted less than ten minutes.
Were present: my wife, the coffee shop owner and the aunt. I ejected her boyfriend and some older woman as they would be unwanted distractions.

I agree, I looked at her hair and realized that I killed some of her coloring on the top left of her head.
The only thing I see different between the two images ... is that in the FINAL she got lipstick.

Freckles are more visible in #1
Chin highlight is completely messed up in #1
Skin color in #2 is warmer than in #1
Hair coloring in #2 is not as visible than in #1 (I corrected that)
Purple background is lighter in #1
....
I am still ambivalent about her lips color. #1 is too rich compared to reality and #2 looks artificial which I really do not like but as I remember it. She does not wear lipstick. I assume the issue comes from the sharpening method first then the color adjustment.
Original chin...
Thank you for your comment...
Now the lips are driving crazy...
Never mind, the more I look at the edits the less I like them...
I prefer the color in #2 and it appears to be somewhat sharper.

#2 is warmer. Yet her skin does not have this glow. I am trying to match her skin tone at the moment. She kind of have a redhead skin.
The sharpness might not be the same, as these are two different captures. The difference might lie in the focus point.
On the red hair coloring issue...
I verified my work then compared with two other images... She did not color all but only part of it. Since the head position is slightly different, it shows in one image and not in the other.
Final image?
Well, no, I am not done. I spotted issues with the hair removal.
