Interesting to see where all the money went back then.
I just wonder what the breakdown would be in this day and age. I think I remember Bill Clinton adding a federal tax of $0.50 a gallon when he was in office and that was over and above what they were already getting. I remember reading an article fairly recently that the Federal government now gets more in taxes than the oil companies do in profit and they don't have to lift a finger to get it.

Wonder where the money they collect is going as it certainly doesn't appear that it is being used for roads & infrastructure as it was intended, what with the condition of the aforesaid in this country.
