Well, you’re not a Christian so why do you care? Why are you complaining?

Have another drink ... sleep it off ... try again later when you're not so 'tired and emotional'. You know it makes sense 'Christian'.

I don't believe this is what the founding fathers had in mind when they wrote the Second Amendment.
If it was, then they were a bunch of sick bastards.
It's time to do something besides this silly thoughts and prayers shit.
Let's look at real solutions even if we have to start small and do it in increments.
Right now, in this country, guns are the leading cause of death in children. That statistic alone should be enough to force action against the gun lobby and the NRA.

It's strange to me how much believers upset non-believers. If God doesn't exist why should they care?
Sounds like they may have some doubts about what they believe.

This is a common event with this OP. Many times he creates posts that have no context and therefore have no meaning to the viewers.

Surprisingly, Maine, a state that has voted Democrat in every presidential election since 1992, has no red flag laws or background checks. It is being reported that the shooter, a military reservist, recently spent two weeks in a mental facility and stated he heard voices and wanted to do something like this. Seems if red flag laws were to be utilized, this would be an appropriate situation. I currently own 20+ guns and (due to changes in California’s laws) have several thousand rounds of ammo for target and hunting but I am certainly not opposed to laws that can be shown to prevent such incidents. “Shown” being the operative word as you can’t legislate against crazy. You probably can’t show me even one law abiding, sane person who has killed another human unless in combat, self defense or accidental.

Your of course oh-so-right --

Prayers are & continue to be totally useless --
What is needed & has been needed all these many years is comprehensive Federal gun laws
Starting with a national ban on the sale & manufacture of all semi-automatic rifles and their associated ammunition along with a Government buy-back program for all those existing Killing Machines

Well, once you murder someone, you are no longer a "law-abiding citizen". However sane people do commit murders more often than you might suspect. It's usually over money or jealousy, but that doesn't make them insane.
Let's start small. A simple red-flag law would be a start. Then, as there's already a section of the HIPPA laws that allows healthcare practitioners to share information with the police, let's make that happen.
We just can't stand by watching our fellow citizens be slaughtered and wring our hands and whine about there's nothing we can do.
The fact is, that we are doing nothing now and it isn't working.
