I don't believe this is what the founding fathers had in mind when they wrote the Second Amendment.
If it was, then they were a bunch of sick bastards.
It's time to do something besides this silly thoughts and prayers shit.
Let's look at real solutions even if we have to start small and do it in increments.
Right now, in this country, guns are the leading cause of death in children. That statistic alone should be enough to force action against the gun lobby and the NRA.

Read the dam thing. It's kinda specific.
The cops nowadays are an example of why the reasons WE have the first two amendments.

Don't know how to reply not knowing if you are talking about protecting yourself from cops, or protecting yourself while waiting for police. Protecting your self while waiting for police may save your life. Holding a gun when they arrive may get you killed by police.

I read it Harry.
Considering it was written in the 18th century, I'm pretty sure they didn't know where this was going.

Interested that you are so fixated on PeeWee and believe you know what was in his brain. Even more interesting if you really know what was in his brain. I draw no conclusions, but possibly someone should look into it. I make no claim of being a great writer, but not for the ridiculous reasons you state. Near as I can tell there are a great many persons on this sight that seem incapable of writing anything you understand. I often wonder if you are a bot. Your responses are so predictable, but someone would have to be quite disturbed for you to be their bot.

I am pretty busy princess so I will give you a break and keep this one short. Lots of opportunities for me though.

You claim, many persons in this sight. It is SITE, not sight.

I took speech in college. If it's true for speech, it would seem to follow that it's true for writing. Have you ever picked up a medical journal or a highly technical writing and didn't understand it? Does that make the author a poor or bad writer? Faulkner appears not to have believed in sentences, sometimes going over a page between periods. Does that make him a bad writer?

You sure are stretching little princess to save yourself from playing a FOOL. Too bad it ain't working for you. You are trying to mix apples and oranges. It ain't working for you either. Of course not everyone can understand something they have never been introduced to before. Most likely I could not read a medical journal and understand brain or open heart surgery any more than I could read mathematical equations relating to the moon landing. But come on now. Those things are not in play here are they? Every one of us from both sides of the aisle generally posts in plain English for others to comprehend.

Yet you do seem to waffle in your posts as in telling us Biden is capable of cognitive thought, something close to that. It isn't that Biden once stuttered or had speech problems. That is not what is being said. Biden's problem definitely is that he is pre Dementia, his mind going and very quickly. He walks around a stage with his hand out hoping someone will shake it but nobody did. He mumbles and stumbles through his speeches and even reads the speech instructions telling him to, Stop Here. Look at the number of times he gets into something he does not understand nor even how he got there regarding something he is telling his audience. He forgets where he is and what he was saying. Then out comes the very familiar, Oh you know, the thing. He is famous for that and similar other idiotic comments he has made as well as carrying on lies he has told for decades.

Biden has always been known to be a liar, plagiarist and corrupt in his own circles. Yet he has been given a pass over and over by the Left Wing supporting MSM. You won't admit that but you know it is true.

Time to get your thoughts together little girl and start writing more legibly and of course, this is the hard part, truthfully.

So far his decision making ability seems much better than his predecessor. He seems to be on top of the issues. He probably should work a shorter day. But they don't have to spread important briefings with his name and photos just to keep his attention. I'm sure he's not as sharp in the moment, or as quick to adapt to changing geography as he goes from setting to setting as when he was a senator, but I'll trade that for good judgement, and the additional knowledge that he's come to have since then. Then there is his standing amongst leaders in the world, and his belief in diplomacy. He isn't impulsive, as opposed to someone else we all know. Impulsiveness is not a good trait in a President. I don't agree with every decision he has made, but I never expected to. Many people consider me quite liberal. He has never been considered a liberal until maga heads took up the mantra. Besides he, on many subjects, has information not available to me.

Actually, considering the Founders knew all about semi-automatic guns - which existed even then.
Any argument the writers of the Constitution were not conversant with repeating-arms is completely false and irrelevant. Repeating arms existed before the Constitution was written(*)

They did have an idea that weapons technology would evolve, and although they might not have been able to predict current semi-automatic medium-powered pistols and rifles, they DID know mechanical improvements in arms was not only predictable but a sure-thing.

(*) See references to specific gun-types provided by Dennis.

“Speech” and recitation—even persuasive speech—is NOT the same as writing.
There is a huge difference between writing a convincing and grammatically accurate theme and shooting-off-at-the-mouth (even prepared speech).

People listen to speeches. People analyze writing.

When going (back) to college, I was required to take a seminar where effective writing was the requirement for completion. Not only was correct grammar, tense usage, spelling and thematic organization important, but presentation of concepts/ideas and supporting evidence was a requirement.

There is an even greater difference between speech and technical or scientific writing. (Reports and scientific papers which I wrote for twenty plus years).
