Well my GAS got the better of me and I ordered a E-M1 iii to play with. I have too many 4/3 lenses sitting around to wait on panasonic. According to the reviews on youtube it is very similar to the G9- we will see???
Another question jumped up. I have the Panasonic Leica 12-60 lens with IS. I read somewhere that the Olympus Cameras will not play to gather with Panasonic Lenses. IOW the IBS works but the Lenses Stabilization does not work. Is this so? Or does it mean that no stabilization works in the body and lens?

I think you can have one or the other but not both. You won't get sync IS. With the IBIS in Olympus cameras, and the panny only going to 60, you won't really need both.
Thanks for the explanation.

The G9 and E-M1 III have very similar functions, but very different menus and ergonomics.

You can use EITHER Olympus IBIS or Panasonic in-lens OIS when you put a stabilized Panasonic lens on a stabilized Olympus body.
Panasonic Dual IS and Dual IS II work only with select pairings of Lumix lenses and bodies.
Since the Olympus IBIS is better than Panasonic in-lens OIS, I'd just use IBIS and not worry about comparison testing them. The difference is 5.5 to 6.5 stops vs 2.5 to 3.5 stops of shake reduction.
