Doesn’t leave much left for the tip jar when you go inside for a cup of Joe.

Joe is likely to go up, too.
Going to really bum out my wife, who gets caffeine withdrawal headaches. Come to think of it, even though I don't drink coffee, the headaches will bum me out, too.

I think the word you’re searching for is “Yikes”. 😊

Scary huh? I'm thinking it's only gonna get worse before it gets better, (now the only question is how much worse)?
My only spark of happiness is that my car runs on "flex fuel" (E85), which at the moment is $2.79 per gallon!(almost half the price of regular gasoline).
Ray.

How does the E 85 do on mileage these days? My son tried a couple of tanks of E 85 in his V8 pickup a few years ago, and his mileage worsened to the point that regular was actually cheaper. Have there been improvements?

All this moaning about prices but no inflation adjustments. Gasoline in my youth was .30 to .40 per gallon but that’s in the $2.50-$4.00 range today and doesn’t account for vastly improved mpg.

And yet it was about $1.85 or so a year and a half ago. If one lives out in the country like I do, double price really hurts.

Amazed at the small difference between the cost for regular and premium.
Here in my neck of the woods you might find regular for 3.69 and premium for 4.09 or more.

$9.54 per U.K. gallon here.

Just walked past the petrol station and it's up another 1p per litre - That's another 6c!

Keep those legs in shape. We'll all be doing more walking.

Walking is supposed to be good for you anyway.

One thing I've always enjoyed doing in pursuing my photography was to jump in the car and head out across the backroads, up into the Pocono Mountains, across farm country looking for that next waterfall or barn to photograph. I would usually use about half a tank a gas or around 8 gal. A day out would cost 20 - 25.00. Now if I have to pay closer to 50.00 I may not be doing that as often.

Boy, if only there was a way that we could be energy sufficient with oil from our USA land without giving our money to countries that want to kill us.

Wouldn't it be nice if we had built a pipeline to supply us with cheap oil......Oh, Wait

Time to go electric!

Interesting spread between the different octane ratings. Here there is at least a $.30 - &.40 spread between 87 and 89 octane, and as much as $.50 more for the 92 octane.
