Scary huh? I'm thinking it's only gonna get worse before it gets better, (now the only question is how much worse)?
My only spark of happiness is that my car runs on "flex fuel" (E85), which at the moment is $2.79 per gallon!(almost half the price of regular gasoline).

Currently, Regular is $3.59 and Premium is $4.29 in Raleigh, NC. Haven’t checked diesel, but last week it was 10 cents more per gallon than Premium (!)

Filled up my 55 Olds race car last Sat with Premium Clear gas @ $4.86/gal.

Here's some insult for the injury... we're buying it from Russia, albeit a small percentage (as well as LP gas). Higher prices will force less usage, as promised. Break out the bicycles and the charcoal briquettes.

(2) Use your Most efficient vehicle
(3) Since the gas tax is only a number in most states and not a percentage of the gas price, plan for lots of potholes in 3 years. Because the price of gas is not the only thing that will go up (and up (and up)).
(4) Buy warm clothes (they'll be on sale if they're available since spring is coming) because that represents the price of ENERGY, not just transportation.
