There is NO evidence that cloth and those blue "surgical" masks that almost everybody wears that they prevent any virus from passing through then.. NONE. And there is evidence that they let viruese pass through them. The n95 masks work but fery few wear them. There is evidence that those useless masks actyally harn young children, by increasing CO2 levels in the air that those masks increases. The risk to young children wearing those masks is much less than the risk of the yearly flu, for which no mask is required. Don't believe me . Check it out

CO2 is a molecule so small it freely passes through mask materials. Don't believe me? Go into a closet and close the door. Just the tiny cracks around the door allow the CO2 to dispense out of the closet. Gas molecules are in motion.

Masks may stop droplets that have the virus initially, but you seem to forget that those droplets evaporate quickly when you breath air through them and exhale. then those little viruses are free to roam through those little holes in the masks because the water droplets are no longer hosting the virus and holding them back. Go back to kindergarten.

Masks are effective; lots of studies prove it. You want to make a claim like that, you need some verifiable proof. Otherwise, put on your damn mask.

boberic is correct, there is no evidence that masks work. There is plenty of evidence that masks don't work. We know that you will blindly listen to Fauci and the CDC, but Fauci said in an email, so it's on the record, "The typical mask you buy in the drugstore is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through the material. It might however, provide some slight benefit in keeping out gross droplets if someone coughs are sneezes on you."

In other words masks do not work, at best they may provide some slight benefit, but they do not prevent the spread of virus.

The CDC also knows that masks don't work. They proved that in Vietnam in 2015. Now, they claim that study was flawed, because among other things it was done only among health care professionals, and those professionals might not have properly used their masks. Also, it isn't valid according to the CDC because it studied viruses, but not specifically covid. So, they also know that masks don't work. Everyone who has bothered to look at the data knows they don't work.

We have given verifiable proof over and over again. Yes, you and your ilk still won't listen. CDC study in Vietnam in 2015. Danish study in 2020. Marine study on Paris Island. All show masks doing the same or worse than no masks.

They are the only studies I can find that compare masks to no masks in the same environment, and all give the same outcome.

If anyone looked at the comparisons between states masked and those unmasked, it would clear. Masks do work. They keep schools safer. Only old people that will sell themselves to the highest bidder disagree. Get vaccinated and wear a mask.

Those comparisons prove nothing. In order to prove mask efficacy they have to be tested against a control group. Every study which has done that shows they do not work.

And, the comparisons between states do not show what you are claiming. For example, the deaths per 100,000 in California are almost identical to Florida. And, California not only had mask mandates they locked down virtually everything, while Florida was much more open. So, there are more variables in the comparison than just masks.

New York and New Jersey had mask mandates throughout the pandemic and have the highest death rates. South Dakota has not only had no mask mandates, they have run business as usual and have 233 deaths per 100,000 versus 301 in New Jersey. You can go through the data all you want, but it does not show an advantage to wearing masks. And, I repeat all studies that have looked at masks versus a control group in the same location show no evidence that masks work.
