We view a few of the many decorative plaques in St Elizabeth's church and then bring our attention to the nave and main altar, concentrating on the multi-colored stained glass windows in its distinctly and rather unusual yellow hues.

Was this the original windows in the church or was it destroyed during the war?

So many creative and wonderful sights and do little time to take them all in. Another fine set, Joe.

Thank you bnsf for looking in on the tour again. I am not sure what the answer to your question is. I reviewed various literatures and found conflicting information: The "In your pocket city guide" states that the church suffered severe damage in WWII, while "medievalheritage" states that the church survived WWII without much damage, but that fires in 1960, 1975 and 1976 did much damage. None of the sources I checked mentions the windows. Since most sources do not touch the question of WWII damage, I would have to assume that there was not much damage, but there is no conclusive evidence.

Thanks Ken - you are so right - life is running away from us, and the few years that we have left we now spend in quarantine or in fear of flying and traveling - it is frustrating. Thanks for your kind comment.
