The Z series is what happened

Yes, the Z's are hear for now, BUT, Nikon will also concentrate on updating their higher end bodies. I also believe their will be a 400 f4 soon that will pair with the new 500 5.6.
Anyway, the most important take away is that Nikon will not abandon the mirrored bodies for a long time.

Nikon has released an "update" of the Df. It's a de-digitalized version called the FM-10!
More details here: https://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-products/product/film-cameras/fm10.html

I'm with you, mas24. I held-on for the long "promised" update of the Df and have finally just given up.

I can understand your impatience. The Df was released in 2013. You never know, an upgrade could be in development.

So far they have been quiet on the topic.

An Imperial pilot, one of the cargo drivers. He defected yesterday. He’s been telling people they’re making another Df. The pilot says he was sent by Nikon.

This from 2 years ago: "In an recent interview Tetsuro Goto from Nikon, it is found that Nikon is working on DF2 camera."

Just how much work does it need?

Nikon is WORKING on many things, A D780, a D550, a D747, a D637, a DF III. Yes, Nikon is WORKING on many things. But what are they actually going to produce? Now, that is the question. Not, what are they WORKING on.
