Interesting editing challenge Linda. I was glad to watch the video, as so many today feel every bit of dark needs to be lightened and detail shown. The bedroom attached was PP in ACR, highlights/shadows, a preset from 2 Lil Owls to emphasize the light shaft. In PS I used dodge and burn a good bit, set at 20, then added a blur to soften the light shaft somewhat.
The barn was harder when keeping the video in mind. I decided to use highlights/shadows, then white/black/clarity in ACR, then in PS worked with burn/dodge a good bit again to emphasize the barn door and light leading to it. Thanks for leading this for us. Bev

Thank you, Bev, and especially for detailing your steps. Very glad you enjoyed the challenge. I love the blur/glow, particularly on the pillows, in #1. Great solution for #2!
I am a little late to the party this time but this was a fun project. Thanks for posting the video Linda. You know I love the dark side.

Linda, I heightened the image of the bed, increased the exposure and attempted a little touch of something possibly akin to an 1800's French style of painting.

Hi Rob, thanks for your participation! I love this painting look. Funny, when I started the topic I thought only the dramatic contrasts of light and shadow would be interesting in this pic in particular. You and others have shown me the light
