It's a nice image. I get stuck like this all the time over which way is best and I like the way you've reached out. I might do a thing or two slightly different, but that wouldn't make it you. I can only say to let it simmer a while in your library then pull it out and see how you feel. But it is very nice the way you show it.

Thank you H... very glad you did not report it as left for your eye. (Your comment and time truly appreciated).

Thank you DebAnn.... I am glad it seems to be acceptable levels of alteration, to most.

Thank you Wayne. I have wondered before when I alter from reality when I have gone too far, and yes, leaving something and returning can help. Yet, I wanted others who didn't see the starting point to give feedback, so they didn't have any conflict with that original capture to overcome.

I think that it looks very nice and natural. It appears that you did a very nice job.

One suggestioin, if I may, watch that the horizon line separating the water and sky is not dissecting right in the middle. It might enhance composition. Otherwise, I would display it on my wall.

Thank you Jeff. I did crop it a bit differently after another comment... its not a huge difference, but not quite so dead center....

Not at all over cooked Sue. I really like it. Might look good as a B&W as well.

I would expect that scene to look like that at some point during the day or year, so why not? It looks lovely and rich without being dRaMaTiCaLly rich.

I had not thought of it from that perspective before...but you are correct. That is worth keeping in mind when editing. Thank you!

I have seen quite a few that appeared to be over cooked and over sharpened but this is not one of them. I think you had just the right touch.

Thank you...it can be a delicate balance. As soneone else pointed out...sometimes you have to walk away from something edited for a bit and look at it later ...for a fresher perspective.

Aha!!! A few weeks I started a war with "Photography / video film making have become totally dominated by post processing"new topic.
I was shocked at the bombs and nastiness that camera out of an questioned.
This Topic is great thank you. "Colorful or Overcooked" is so much better than my topic. No the photo is not. It is very good.
What I was saying poorly is what this does. How far is most photos being taken so they seem so far out of reality. Of course art
treatments with post processing can be very creative.Thanks.
