I took this a few weeks ago. Tonight, I wanted to edit it differently, sticking a little less to the colors I saw, and brightening it up a bit. I am curious if it looks over cooked to others. Your thoughts on that would be appreciated. Download requested/recommended.

I don't think it looks overcooked at all, in fact, I really like the treatment you've provided. The effects are balanced and the composition great. Did you add the birds, or where they part of the shot?

Nothing was added/detracted beyond a small cropping. I just worked with the exposure, colors, etc... in ACR. Thank you for looking and responding.

Yeah, I think it is REALLY well done; horizon PERFECTLY level, with a lighter, different look than the high contrast and oversaturation we see so much of. Foreground really balanced well, and really IMHO it is a killer of a capture ....

Sue and her lighthouse. There is a lot to like about this image. I don't think that you "baked" it too long at all. Just wondering; did you do something "extra" to the lighthouse itself? I'm not used to seeing quite so much detail in the structure without direct sunlight on it.

You are right. i did work the lighthouse on its own a bit....it just looked too...blah...in technical terms ...and again....tried not to over do the change.
