** "On June 3, 1968, radical feminist Valerie Solanas shot pop culture artist Andy Warhol in his Manhattan studio, the Factory. After being pronounced dead, Warhol survived."

Glad you’re doing better and back shooting. I appreciate your description of the shot - I would not have guessed it was natural light.

Have been wondering about seeing nothing from you - glad you are back for 2 reasons
...assume your health issues are resolved
...have been looking for your work/fun every day and have been missing it.

Excellent--that hospital stay certainly didn’t take the edge off your work.

Hope you’re feeling much better now; and I hope the studio search goes well. I’ll miss that crack in the wall.

Thanks what an amazing story. What a wonderful welcome home present.

Thanks for the invitation to ask questions. I am taking you up on that.

How many shots did you shoot to get this one?

You said natural light, the shadows don't give that away nor does the high tone quality. How did the mixture of light occur?

When I enlarged the image there is the gray stopping, was that added or part of the actual photo.

Steven

quote=Robeng]Hi Toxdoc,

This was a crazy last minute photoshoot with Bella & Asia. I was in the hospital when Asia texted me because she was concerned I was hospitalized. She told me she was going to be in town with Bella and wanted to know if she could bring me anything. I told her I always wanted to photograph Bella but some how we always missed each other. I mentioned I would be discharge on the 8th. Asia told me they would be wrapping up their shoot in Oakland on the 9th, if I wanted to meet up afterwards and photograph them I could. Not shooting for over a month I jumped at the offer. So as soon as I got there, they took off with their clothes and I photograph the two of them with natural light about 1000 ISO on my Nikon D4s.

Because the lighting was a mixed of natural light and interior light there was a weird tone to the image. That's why I edited the image in B&W using Lightroom & Photoshop. This is the actual shot cropped this way. I hope this helps. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions.

Glad you are better. Miss your photos. It seems as though you casually make photos that are very good while others struggle and they usually result in poor quality both in technical detail and artistic quality.

We missed you you have some catching up to do....................... please

I thought it was an absolutely great picture -- until I scrolled to the bottom: Stripper heels --- Ick. That kind of ruined it for me......

Different strokes for...

For me, the shoe makes it all the more salacious and delicious, and it very nicely balances the dark hair at the top of the image.

I'd agree if they were wearing lingerie. But here they spoil the natural, totally nude look.

Stunning black & white interpretation. My instinct would've been to NOT brighten the skin tones so much but you pulled it off and it adds to the sexiness. I do think you can get by with a little less vignetting. Also, I'd like to see the space between their chins a bit (lighter) near the dark shoulder.
