Due to being hospitalized I haven't posted anything in a month. Now that I'm home I'm back with an image of Bella & Asia.

Sorry you were hospitalized. Hope they got everything under control for you. Do me a favor and stay out of the hospital. Great image!

Glad you are home and apparently safe. I hope it wasn't anything serious.

How did you manage to get such high toned bodies and background? Is that the full frame, i'd love to see the lower portion included to see if your cropping made the photo better.

Can someone explain to me how to find out the details of the technique, etc? I am a neophyte and am intrigued by the pointilistic nature of the "grain" when I enlarge the download. Is that noise from a high ISO?

I assume that since this is clearly a studio pic and Rob had control over the lighting, the grain is not from high ISOs (as they wouldn't be needed), but from an artistic choice to include/add it in PP.

Hi Gary,

I have not found one yet, my partners and I are still looking for a studio. Mean while I renting from friends. Hopefully fingers crossed.

Hi Toxdoc,

This was a crazy last minute photoshoot with Bella & Asia. I was in the hospital when Asia texted me because she was concerned I was hospitalized. She told me she was going to be in town with Bella and wanted to know if she could bring me anything. I told her I always wanted to photograph Bella but some how we always missed each other. I mentioned I would be discharge on the 8th. Asia told me they would be wrapping up their shoot in Oakland on the 9th, if I wanted to meet up afterwards and photograph them I could. Not shooting for over a month I jumped at the offer. So as soon as I got there, they took off with their clothes and I photograph the two of them with natural light about 1000 ISO on my Nikon D4s.

Because the lighting was a mixed of natural light and interior light there was a weird tone to the image. That's why I edited the image in B&W using Lightroom & Photoshop. This is the actual shot cropped this way. I hope this helps. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions.

Rob

I had noticed you hadn't posted in a while.
Didn't realize you were out of commission!
Hope you're doing well now and ready to be back with a vengeance!
I'm sure Bella and Asia are just what the doctor ordered!!! LoL
