At shopping centers much of the checking is done by volunteers. They are usually very strict... some are out&out martinets.

Just an FYI on shutter count — it is not necessarily the number of images taken. On My Sony A57 a photo taken with full mechanical shutter (ie, not electronic first curtain) registers as 2 shutter activations. Panorama shots and some scene modes (handheld twilight) likewise increase the shutter activation count with only a single increment of the image number. In my case image number 1 registered 2 shutter activations; image 53161 registers 67691 shutter activations.
