Great shot. You are so right about getting a little laugh, especially when you get a little older!!!!

These moments of silliness and shared laughter remind me of how grateful I am for 46years of companionship. Thanks for the comment. Emp!

For those in So. Calif. Lake Arrowhead has a Bald Eagle area also. In breeding season no one is allowed near it.

Beautiful set and excellent downloads, Phil, and appears that it may be one of it's favorite foods!............There has been a very fine snow falling most of the day, but less than three inches of accumulations, and temperatures are forecast in the forties and fifties for the next three days so hopefully it won't stay around very long. Take care!

I spotted this bird by the literal cascade of feathers coming from a tree. The plucking motion was so rapid the flow of feathers was continuous. Yes, I know it was a Coot but Diane and I had so much fun laughing at the term "duck plucker" that it had to be the title of this post. When you get old you have to be a little silly when opportunity presents itself.

Good captures rockdog.

Thanks for the heads up. Those kind of protective measures are a good thing.

Hi Corky and thanks for the kind words. You folks are just getting pounded by weather. Stay warm.

Thanks Jack! We spent the rest of the day saying duckplucker out of context and laughing like kids.

Me and some friends will do the same thing. Wife says we're goofy.
