Beautiful shots of a majestic bird, Phil, and these show just how much I know about Eagles. I thought their diet consisted only of fish.

Eagles will actually munch side by side with the best of the buzzards scavenging road kills.

I spotted this bird by the literal cascade of feathers coming from a tree. The plucking motion was so rapid the flow of feathers was continuous. Yes, I know it was a Coot but Diane and I had so much fun laughing at the term "duck plucker" that it had to be the title of this post. When you get old you have to be a little silly when opportunity presents itself.

To pluck a duck is to remove the feathers, this guy has gone a lot deeper than that!

Nice set Phil. Had a little laugh my self on your title.

Thanks Jack! We spent the rest of the day saying duckplucker out of context and laughing like kids.

I spent a lot of time with this bird and there was indeed a good deal more than plucking going on. When I'm lucky enough to find and document these moments I often end up with graphic photos that I choose to not share in a gallery post. It is never my intention to shock or offend. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Far from shocked or offended, great photos and love the graphics, just funning with your title.
