I have posted this before on UHH but repeat it here for purposes of your thread. It was published as a "Daily Dozen" by National Geographic in July 2017. http://yourshot.nationalgeographic.com/profile/1561635/#awards

Of note is the fact that it was the UHH community who urged me to crop the shot to make it stronger. This advice I took to heart and was grateful to have the shot noted by Nat Geo. I was the beneficiary of very helpful comments on this forum for which I am still grateful.

My big Hickory tree, shot out my bathroom window early sun on Hoar frost. This tree feeds and is home to many squirrels.

I like the three basic colors of blue, white and black/dark brown to the exclusion of other colors. It has an appealing and simple/clean look.

I had posted this in the Advance & Professional Portrait section, but will re-post here as it is one of my favorites of 2017.

This is my favorite because I like my Old Holland Oil Paints, the best in the world.

You should do a photo book if u have more like this. Or send them to the National Archives. Or something. Archival prints.

Wish I had the expertise to do that. Great subject for B&W!

B&W conversion is not that hard with Ps or ACR if you play with the color settings and contrast when you convert. I usually lighten Yellows and darken Reds and Blues, and then play with the others if they have an effect.

“The Granary” shot near Canyonlands National Park. It is an 8x10 contact print on graded silver gelatin paper.

Sure, I'll play!
This is neither one of my favorites or one of my better shots but I figure not to many will post something like this so might as well post something a little different. I think I shot this a few weeks ago but not sure. I shoot quite a few of these model sessions. Though I do shoot some of these with B&W film, this one is a digital in color and converted in LR.
BTW, this is a female model!! LoL
