If so, would you care to share your feelings about this MFT MILC body? ... Also, if you would - tell which lenses you have for it ... thanks!

Well, now ... there's been 66 views of this thread, in the past 22 hours, since it was posted, but NOT a single response. So, either this isn't a very popular camera, or it's too new for anyone to have had any experience with it. My guess is, it's deficient in some way or other, and those who might've responded - would've done so, negatively ... and, thus, have chosen not to comment in any way, so as not to upset the apple cart. .... A good enough evaluation?

I dont have it but if you asked me and I know you didn’t, I’d go with an omd em5II instead. Used in excellent shape go for around $500. You get so much more.

Nope, Tom ... not for me ... I've been burned on Used Camera deals, now, twice ... I'm not going to go that route, again ... it's either new or nothing!

If I had two grand sitting around, I'd just go for the EM1 II ... but I don't - much less one grand for the EM 5 II ....

And if I decided to go either of those routes, I'd still need a lens ... the OM-D E-M 10 Mk. III comes standard with the 14-42 for just $800!!!!

You know, I'm not gonna do it, at all ... it's just silly! ... no top-deck LCDs, no 24mp sensor ... it's just not worth it (to me, at any rate) ....

Third option: question is deficient

You can get a new version II for $549 from Amazon, body & lens. I got one and like it very much, but it was cheaper on sale.

What's deficient about it, RE?

The question speaks for itself ...

Look at it, again:

It is a very simple and straightforward question.

Your option doesn’t apply.

Wayne, thanks for that, and I value your suggestion, highly ....

However, the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II does not incorporate 5-axis stabilization, like the Model III, as does the EM 5 II, and the EM1 II ....

It is this most significant improvement which has caused me to look at this feature in not only these three, but, also, the Pentax K-1, and the alpha a99 II.

My next investment in digital camera technology would embrace that particular feature, and the OM-D E-M10 Mk. III - is the cheapest way to do it ....

But, before wasting $800 on it, I wish to be sure - a) it does have it ... and b) at least one person has had a good experience with it ....

Actually, I'm pretty certain that the Mk II DOES have 5 axis IS. One of the reasons I bought it a year earlier instead of the Mk I.

His option that he came up with.

Btw, when in Rome, act like the Romans.

If you are truly interested in user experience with the 5axis IS, ask in the mu43 forum. Since the 5 axis IS came out in the original EM5, out of all the posts I have seen, I’ve never seen a negative comment about it. What is fascinating is how Olympus has been able to improve on the original. But no matter what anyone says, there is nothing like personal experience. Why not spend a few bucks and rent the body and a lens? Be aware that the em10 is the smallest omd body and it maybe too small in general or if matched with a larger lens.

Funny, Chris, that a guy like you, a pro, and with such a long list of digital cameras to his name, doesn't know where to look to avoid making statements like this which are just plain wrong. It's not difficult to check the specs of any digital camera, and you'll get shot down here very quickly for making statements that have not been verified.
