It almost sounds like you traded it in for the new camera, rather than return it for credit. Check back with them.
Yep! Sounds like more of a trade-in. Verify communications with them. They have made mistakes in the past, but have always politely and promptly rectified them.

I purchased a new Canon G3X plus various accessories for it.
Within a week testing I decided I did not like it. Returned all of it for credit and
purchased a new OM10 ll Olymplus with a 12-35f2.8 lens and a 100-300 lens. Plus extra accessories.
I still want to purchase a couple more lenses, etc.
My total cost for the G3X $1,042.00. B&H's credit to me is $504.00.
I guess that is how they like to treat their small customers.

Something is either missing or we have only heard your side of the story. If it was me (and it is sometimes) I simply call customer service at B&H and get it straightened out. I believe the UHH contact person is Harold, I am not sure on the name but anyone in customer service will be able to help you out. B&H issues FULL refunds on any equipment returned to them in it's ORIGINAL condition. Original being the operative word here.

Don't give up on this. Herschel, from B&H, is a frequent contributor here, and he will add his two cents. (Not literally.

!o minutes from the first post. My point is that this is relatively common practice for a half baked post. Oh, goody, let's play guessing games!
I returned a Fuji XE-1 when I heard the XE-2 was coming out. I even told B&H that and had no problem getting full credit back.

...were there free items with the purchase and did they reduce the cost of the purchase because you didn’t send back the free items when you returned it...?
Never had a problem with B&H and always had great customer service....the old adage of 'rent before you buy' (if possible) seems to always work
I have never returned anything to B&H but I was speaking to a salesman about a Tamron 18-400 and mentioned I have a Minolta Maxxium 7000 with flash and AF50, AF28, AF35-70 and a AF 70-210 that I will never use and he told me the lenses fit Sony A-mount cameras and with a $39 interface device will fit my Nikon 7100 (totally manual) but if I wanted to sale then he could transfer me to their used camera group and they could give me an offer for them. I had him transfer me and after taking the list of all I have, they offered me $25 for the entire package. I know the market is not great but $25, made me wonder what their mark-up is.
You really need to call someone "high up" in customer service. I've never heard anything like this before in the twenty years I've been buying there and I've sent a handful of things back, (within their time parameter). Most of the time they've even paid for the return back. If you don't get satisfaction, use the magic words... "Abes of Maine."
I can top the guy who has 30 yrs
experience with B&H... I think mine
Is probably 40+. I have never had a problem with them and have returned equipment within two weeks paying only a restocking fee which is certainly fair since they can only resell at 70% of original price or as “open box”. There must be either some mistake here which may be perfectly honest on either of your parts but it has been a while and I have heard nothing about your attempts to rectify the problem. I may be a pro but I am a small customer to them and I get treated just fine. I hope you report back here and let us know what the final outcome is.
I'll chime in on this too. I have returned things that I ordered in error and got full refund. I think OP should go to them to resolve this instead of throwing them under the bus. There are too many readers on this site that have had only positive experiences, who will defend B&H, Adorama and all the legitimate sellers to just let one poster say negative things without trying to resolve this correctly.
I've never had to pay the restocking fee, though it would be fair. Their customer service is positively exemplary. Get to the bottom of it and please let us know.

I think what they were telling you is that they wanted no part of it. For what these items can be bought for on the used market, and the length of time it might take to sell them, it isn't worth their shelf space. The transaction itself costs them money.

No no no... If you returned it within the time period in its original condition and packing, and you bought it from them brand new, you will get a full refund and that's that. There is some confusion and it will be cleared up by them.
