I suspect - with that silly statement - you've proven you are far too insensitive to ever have been a - pet-owner ....

But, that's your misfortune ....

I pity you ...

Chris,

I've actually have had quite a few pets. But for the life of me I cannot figure out why you think I'm too insensitive to own a pet or what it has to do with what I wrote.

What I said, unfortunately, is an accurate description of why so many people get frustrated by you. Your stubborn adherence to what are often silly, and unsubstantiated notions, like pocket lint, only serves to wear people down and annoy them.

I only brought it up in the misguided hope you might look inward to understand how others perceive you and learn from it. It was a fools errand since you are apparently resistant to the type of introspection needed.

Don't you find it odd that people are creating threads in which you are the main subject? There are have been at least two already that I'm aware of. I have also received several personal messages from various members over the last few weeks discussing your behavior. I've never seen that before. Aren't you wondering why you are the target of so much vitriol? I would love to help you, but you don't want to be helped. Sobeit. I won't bring it up again, but please understand that it's your behavior which is ultimately responsible for the way people react to you.

And by the way, Hitler was also a pet owner. I'm guessing, by your definition, he must have been a sensitive guy?

I either use my pocket or the camera bag. At the end of the day, I check the caps and lenses and remove any residual debris...

All my lens caps as well as hot shoe covers spend all their time collecting dust in a closet.

Good place for the hot-shoe covers ....

Lens caps, tho ... I'm not sure about ....

Seems to me ... they'd be more practical - warding OFF dust, rather than collecting it ...

Hey, if you don't want 'em, JK ... send 'em to me, why don'tcha?

Geez, eight pages and counting about whether to use a tether on you lens cap on not? And arguing about pocket lint? Let's get a life. Will someone please start another post?

Do you clean your "Picture Window" ? ... if so, what do you use? (about the little glass windows in lens barrels)
Why do Canon and Nikon only deem WP a necessary feature in their "Big Guys" ? (about weather protection)

Added today, at your behest - Three Solid Reasons NOT to buy a new Nikon D7500 ... and -
Considering a new Canon APS-C ? ... Take a Look at the new EOS 77D ...

Also, an older topic post of mine, newly revitalized, today ... The Bridge to Boredom ....

Glad you find my Topic Posts somewhat interesting, Alfred ... thanks ...

So that's 7 you now have - to look at ... close-at-hand ...

Plus - I've done well over a hundred now, you know ... in the past 6-7 weeks ... you might find them doing a search under my log-in ...

You know, Chris, a little research of the facts, before you post would go a long way in making your responses sound more credible.

If so, do you use the kind that goes around the lens, or the kind that's attached to a strap lug on your body? ...

If you don't use either kind ... what do you DO with your cap, when you're shooting?

I put it in a plastic bag either in my pocket or the camera bg to keep from losint it and to keep it clean.

The only cap I ever lost was on a pier in Catalina. The glue on the tether gave out as I leaned over the rail for a shot. Just my luck.
