I use Neat Image, and have been very happy with the results

Low light sports with high iso ... I used Topaz Denoise.

Setup action in photoshop to run Denoise at high strength, then adjusted layer opacity or added layer mask.

The noise reduction program I use is Topaz Denoise.
I honestly believe it does a great job and plenty of tutorials in the Internet.

I use Topaz DeNoise, and I think it does a decent job. However, I've read that DXO is the best.

I have done a search on this topic and I don't find anything newer than 1 1/2 years. I'm sure there have been other threads, but they just didn't have noise in their title. I use Photoshop but not Lightroom. I started with Photoshop a number of years ago and just haven't gotten into Lightroom.

What noise reduction software do you find is best? Noise Ninja is what I used a few years ago, but it is no longer supported. The cost of the software is not an issue, I just want something that is good and is supported.

Do you do a lot of low light shooting? The camera/ fast lenses, of today can shoot at high ISO and the noise is negligible. Are you able to use a flash? Noise has not been an issue for me, just interested why it is for you?

I have used and checked many of the noise reduction apps and DXO Optics Pro is by far the best on the market today....! It's power is limited to RAW files, so if you shoot only JPEG files stick with Noiseware.

Is Lightroom available on PC and/or Mac? I have a MacBook Pro, and an HP Envy currently. I really don't like Apple anymore. I saw them launch iTunes and play a song many times for a few weeks, when I decided to not pay for my music "cloud" and I lost a ton of my music. Plus, they deleted a website I had with them, without my permission. I sure do wish I videotaped them launching iTunes and playing a song. Talk about a back door...

You got my attention. I have a lot of music on my Mac and I would hate to lose it. I have 12.5.5 now and Apple keeps prompting me to upgrade to v?.? of iTunes.
Can you tell me what happened and what not to do? Thanks

I agree.

Actually, the best noise removal is with DxO Optics Pro, elite version. It only works on the RAW image and they call it Prime Noise removal. What I like is how it intelligently figures out the noise and doesn't do it with just blurring like so many others do.

In addition, it has other tools that can make a big difference too. I like the micro contrast adjustment, the clear image and the light adjustment.

Imagenomic (Noiseware) is the best I have used. It takes away the noise and keeps the picture sharp.

Noise reduction in PS is "new" in a way, as it is updated on a regular basis! The noise reduction in LR is the same as the one in PS, as both use the same ACR engine!

Try Dfine 2 which comes with the NIK Collection from Google (free software) but I have previously used DxO and concur with others who have already posted about its worth - albeit you have to purchase the software.

p.s. Macphun is Mac only software

Does DxO work as a LR plug-in?

(yes - result of Google search)
