Looks like a Chevy any where from 1941 to 1946

I think you are dating too late. There were few civilian trucks available during the war years, and I think it took a year or so for the factories to convert from military production. during that time "connections" were also helpful to get on the list until they really got going.

The last civilian vehicles were produced first half 1942. Civilian vehicle production restarted sometime in mid-1946. In between car and truck factories produced military vehicles, including tanks.

That insignia on the center grill vertical bar suggests Dodge. The curveyness implies late 1930s.

No. If you do a double download on the insignia you see a chevy bow tie

I agree, John: it is a Dodge.

I agree the marque on the grill suggests an early Dodge, but when download the photo and enlarge it, you can clearly make out Chevrolet.

I can't rationalize the Chevy Chevron emblem worked in on the grill design - sure looks more like the graphics on Dodge/Chrysler products as John F surmised (above).

UH OH - I just viewed the large view and think I can make out a TINY chevron on the upper third of the very vertical 'shield' OOPS - Guess it's a Chevy after all

There is no doubt that it's a Chevrolet, but I don't think it's post war, I thinking more like late 30s. In fact my very first gut reaction was '32.

The 30's trucks had a flat front - it looks like the radiator was the front. See chevy truck history: http://www.pickuptrucks.com/html/history/chev_segment2.html

The 40's had the chrome and rounded front hiding the radiator - see previous link...

What was it about the Chevy emblem on the center vertical bar that suggested to you that it was a Dodge? The large word "Chevrolet" on the grille seems to be a hint also.

Hi still archiving my old cars. Can anyone tell me make, model and year of this truck?

Around a 1941 Chevy pickup. It can't be newer because of the chrome. No chrome 1942 until after the war. All chrome went for the war effort. My first vehicle was just like this that I paid $23.00 for it and drove it hard for two years and sold it for $50.00.😀
