While this truck was identified awhile ago, I want to point out that Chevrolet,along with everyone and did produce their prewar designs after the war (In the case of Buick, it made the most sense as the last Prewar design was only produced for a few months before the War, So even in 46, it was still "new"). Chevrolet released they're new postwar trucks before their new post war cars! I'm assuming that the 42 truck dies were worn due to continued military truck production. The 42 car dies weren't as worn by war's end!
