In any photography I am extremely sensitive to others privacy

How can I remove the gps info from exif/ metadata

Turn off your GPS. It's a favorite of Registered Sex Offenders, Pedophiles, and Other criminals who want your addresses.

Otherwise, it's pretty useless, and dangerous as well.

I agree with cameras. I brought that up at a meeting last week where we discussed social media as marketing tools. It's surprising how many photographers are unaware that information is available on the the digital pictures they post. Even pros. When piloting a drone the GPS is a must. You can remove that info later as someone has posted.

I agree, and I am totally against GPS only as it refers to camera's. There are plenty of stories out there about people being targeted by RSO and Pedophiles, not to mention "home burglaries" using the GPS information from pictures posted on the internet.

Picture if you will.... a pedophile scanning children pictures on the internet and scanning the GPS information to target victims. How about all those pictures taken by real estate agents showing the address information of lavishly furnished real estate for sale. Are the people taking images of your nicely appointed "Home for Sale" turning off the GPS feature of their camera's.

Be aware, and Beware!!!!

Yep. When you live in Atlanta and posting picture while on vacation in Hawaii you're asking for trouble with the GPS enabled. Paranoid? Maybe.

Even without GPS data, I would think most people could easily see the difference between an outdoor shot in Hawaii from an outdoor shot in Atlanta.

But hell, I could be wrong about that.

even if you wait post when you get home you still got to worry about if they think you're in Hawaii and decide to come break into your house

True, you did just ask a straight forward question and the thread went crazy from there with everyone's imaginations and guesses, and I did not help that any. So your answer is "remove the GPS data to protect the location privacy of your clients". Makes sense, innocent enough. I can't say I understood all the technical FAA stuff. Sorry, way out of my many areas.

No problem I got the information I needed it I didn't mind the added discussion and maybe somebody learn something in the process just have to take everything with a grain of salt
