Seller only has a 90.9% rating. Someone I wouldn't buy from for sure.

Well.,, after buying 3 different monopods ..., I discovered the SIRUI 426-S Carbon fiber tripod with removable feet ..., and yes it has an adjustment on the feet so you can leave the camera on it and take a selfie ...I liked it so much I bought one for my brother .. nothing else comes close ...not cheap .., but hey .. well worth the green ..., has a 36mm main post ..it extends to about 6ft ...wow ...

So just google 426S Sirui ... they make lesser models .., but this is their best ...

I have included some pics of me with it in Yosemite and etc. First pic shows the removable feet ..

Those feet (a different brand though) can be purchased separately to fit other make monopods. I've seen any number of them advertised.

Don't know what happened to my reply I spent 1/2 hr on ...?

But a monopod is just a monopod until you get what others have recommended .. a SIRUI 426S :. I liked it so well I bought 2 of them ...gave 1 to my brother ..,
I bought 3 different monopods until I found the SIRUI 426S ... eBay .. or other purchase sites ..., not cheap but worth every penny ..

Shots of me with it in Yosemite ... gee ..., holds my camera and lens ...no hands .. feet adjust to be able to do that ...

"No thanks .., not for me ... " the 426S is not for the timid ..., it is a heavy duty monopod for pros who do rugged hikes and have big heavy cameras and lenses ... and yes it can be used to hold the camera all by itself ... I have $3,000 in tripods for non monopod occasions ...

I'm only 69. I use a meFoto monopod as part of my birding kit. It doesn't have feet, but in addition to helping me steady my camera, it doubles as a walking stick to help me get out to where I find the birds.

I like the Manfrotto NeoTec monopod. It doesn't retract to be as small as some of the others but there's nothing anywhere close to as fast. To extend it just lift up and to put it back down squeeze the handgrip.

Be aware that sites that prohibit tripods will often not allow monopods with feet.

I would like to purchase a monopod. I got one free with one of my zoom lens last year. I'm not real steady holding my camera and this helps "somewhat." I've noticed there are monopods out that have 3 feet which I think would even help me more. The one I got free is just a straight piece. Does anybody have a suggestion which one would be a good one to purchase? I don't always like setting up a tripod for a quick shot. I was just curious if anyone else uses a monopod. Thanks in advance for any input.

Save your money!!! buy a tripod. Been there done that, the monopods are great for very few people, but they do make a good walking stick or if heavy enough a good attitude modifier.
