Please cite the ADA section that was violated. I deal with it everyday professionally all over the country and with numerous governing agencies. Grow up and quit crying and using the ADA as a crutch. Real me don't do this but deal with life as it was handed to them and act independently and do not demand a flat earth or everyone bow down to them due to some perceived disability as most people do. Why did you not report your supposed violation to the authorities if it was so egregious?
Just grow up, quit demanding the world kiss your a... and do as real men do and carry on. You are not the only one with a disability (Yours can't be too bad if you get up those air stairs just fine). No, I am not sympathetic. Age is not a disability, ask my 94 year old dad who still runs his tiller in a huge garden in the back of his property.

Actually, that is true of all airliners. My flying goes back to the days when "carry-on" had to fit under a seat and the overhead bins were for coats only. I still pack that way on the few occasions when I fly, but others do not. My wife, who flies much more than I do {in fact, she is due back from Florida, to see her mother not for pleasure, tomorrow morning} tells me that often people drag so much to the gate that some of it is gate checked and goes in the hold afterall.

I agree, for the last several years I have flown between 50K and 100K miles a year, domestically and internationally, including regional and long haul. I've been fortunate to have enough frequent flier status to get on the plane early, before they run out of bin space, but sometimes if it won't go under the seat it will get gate checked. I calculate for that. Either way all my camera gear is packed so that it can literally be thrown in the hold and not sustain damage.
