It just dawned on me that you did not specify what you are using for a remote? I have a Nikon and a Vellow and they both haves a connection that threads onto the camera port after it is put in place. It is impossible for mine to fall off it I install it the recommended way and I will concede the arthritis makes it difficult. Am I missing what you are using and wrongly assumed, there's that bad word,a device other than a remote cable?

But I have used the 10 pin Nikon connector for GPS add-ons and I have had them unscrew occasionally. Yes, they're a pain to screw in tightly because my fingers just don't fit well into the limited space available. The only time they seem to stay on is when I use a pair of needle nose pliers on them. And even when screwed in tight, I had one connector that didn't really make a good contact and you had to jiggle it occasionally.

I wish my D5 had Bluetooth.
I'm a few Nikons short to properly use a 10 Nikon ... (show quote)

I have never had anything unscrew from the 10-pin connector on any Nikon is over 20 years of use.

I may be inept at screwing.
