That first photo is AWESOME!! Can't beleive nobody moved!

Yeah, I know! My stupid brother is the guy right in the middle with the hoody up over his head and he couldn't still and is blurry in almost every other shot. Next year I'm making him sit on the end out of the picture.

I think your brother drank too much coffee that day

Hi Tim,
I'm a beginner and you have given me some great inspiration, your photos are beautiful, thank you. I've just bought a Canon EOS 600D so I hope I can produce some great shots like that. I will post my photos and will look forward to feedback.

Well - - in my town, the fireworks show is the weekend BEFORE the 4th - so I had a chance to set things up and try them out.
Camera with a 28-85 lens (no IS), on a tripod, set at f/13, ISO 160, Manual focus at infinity, and the camera set for a shutter time of 5 Sec.
Instead of automating with the intervalometer - I just used the intervalometer shutter release pushbutton when I heard (or saw) the initial launch.
Got LOTS of photos - - just one little problem.
Seems the Focus got bumped off of 'infinity' <sigh> - so all turned out like the first one {Dumb things I did with a camera}.
I guess the fuzzy ones DO look kinda Artsy ?? Mebe I did it on PURPOSE - - Yeah - - THAT's the Ticket !!
Later in the evening - took some 0.5 sec shots of the neighbors fireworks braced against the window.
They came out well - so I should have better results on Tues and Weds.
.

Fuzzy 1

Fuzzy 2 (there were LOTS of fuzzys !!)

Later - Focus Adjusted - It CAN be Done

Final Shot - time to quit

Thx WW - - feel better already :)

Wiki does it better than I do
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intervalometer

And lots available at Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Aintervalometer&page=1

The one I got looks identical to the one by "NEEWER" - cost about $20 last year. Don't know what you get extra by purchasing the $35 models - and definitely would NOT pay $70 for the name brand ones !!

If you get one - MAKE SURE it has the right Connector for your camera !!
