The groomer had made the road look wider than it really was. When the poor driver drove right along the edge, he did not know the groomer had actually groomed an area off the road and over a deep ditch.

I have been leading photo tours by Snowcoach in Yellowstone and will be doing that for the next month. I don't get to shoot much as I help my clients mostly, but sometimes I do get to shoot a little. Here are a few examples. Yellowstone is a fabulous winter destination. The best time is dependably between mid-January and mid-February when it is likely to have plenty of snow. I have led winter tours here since 1993, and due to all of the restrictions, the park is very lightly used in winter, so far more peaceful and quiet.

Excellent photos! I love the snow on the elk. Beautiful shots of the lower falls. I've only seen it without snow/ice, and I think it's actually more impressive with the ice. Thanks for sharing!

I loved seeing these great photos, John. I have photos of the Lower Falls that I took in late summer a few years ago so it is very interesting to see what they look like in winter.

So, how do they get a stuck Snow Cat unstuck?
