I have been leading photo tours by Snowcoach in Yellowstone and will be doing that for the next month. I don't get to shoot much as I help my clients mostly, but sometimes I do get to shoot a little. Here are a few examples. Yellowstone is a fabulous winter destination. The best time is dependably between mid-January and mid-February when it is likely to have plenty of snow. I have led winter tours here since 1993, and due to all of the restrictions, the park is very lightly used in winter, so far more peaceful and quiet.

Superb shots John.
Thanks for sharing.
Very nice,John, this is on our bucket list! Headed there in early June and October.
The lone tree image is superb!
That is lower falls, about 306 feet high. It has been a cold season in Yellowstone and much ice has formed on the outside of it, but it continues to fall behind the ice shield.

That is Barb Eddy who is my ex-wife. We still get along fine and do some trips together. She was in the coach that got stuck. The driver would not pose. These snowcoaches get stuck easily. Get the skis an inch too far and you are done. The driver's say, there are those who have been stuck and the rest will get stuck eventually.

You might be right at 308 feet. It is 306 or 308, but can't remember which one. Anyway, it is a tall waterfalls with a ton of water flowing over it.

All 308 feet!
Notice the open water of the left side of the waterfall. It is easy to mistake it for snow. By the way, this is an excellent snow year in Yellowstone as it is in many places.
