With Sam's Club printing I'm unable to print any size jpg file originaly shot with my Canon 5DSr. These files are processed RAW and converted/compressed to jpg in Photoshop CC, as are printable I've shot files shot with my 5D, 6D and Fugifilm XT1. Only the files originally shot with the 5DSr are unreadable by SAM's printing kiosk. I've tried compression to multiple reduced file sizes with no effect. What am I missing?

At Costco I've had Jpeg files They've said are to big to print, or if they need a different aspect ratio they may not print sometimes.
They're software might be geared to mostly P&S files or from phones. That was 5 or 6 years ago so they might be better now, don't know!!

When I first got my 5DSr about a year ago I encountered some problems with software that had a 50 megapixel limit. The full image files from the 5DSr contain 50.6 megapixels.

Take them to a camera store that knows what they are doing. Sam's club and these other cheap stores pay there people $8.00 an hour and do not know anything about printing.

If I understand this correctly, it seems that you want to print raws. No one can do that. You must supply a jpg or tiff. The print software will warn you if the resolution is too low for good results and may also limit the maximum file size. In the latter case, you are probably resizing or increasing the resolution unnecessarily.

My files have been converted to jpeg and downsized. I use the same process from RAW to jpeg in CC that I do with three other cameras. Sams print kiosk reads all of my jpeg files to print except the jpeg files that were originally shot with the 5DSr. The kiosk identifies the 5DSr jpegs as unreadable.

Boy, you stumped me here. Could not find anything with google. We may as well clutch at straws. Have you stripped out the metadata? How about going thru DNG? Or tiff? Might you have layers or transparencies? What about shooting jpg and seeing if those print? I wonder if ACR is different in PS than LR.

If the first file s raw file, the reader won't continue reading at all. At least that's my experience.

Try this. Size your file to be no more than 1 MB in size jpg and put one on a thumb drive. See if it will print. If so, then use a batch file to set all of your other jpgs to the same resolution. I assume that you have selected a print size that is compatible with your image dimensions.

Print size and resolution have nothing to do with each other. His problem is more subtle than that. He is using the same file size so that rules that out. I presume all are about the same physical size and resolution.

Some of the printable files captured in the other cameras are larger than the last set of jpeg's I tried to print from the 5DSr. I had intentionally compressed the files to try and find a threshold, if there is one, of Sam's printer. The same jpeg's that Sam's equipment can't identify to open can be opened on my work laptop which has no photography software on it at all. These "unidentified files" are readable/viewable using only windows file viewer. Makes no sense to me.

Forget local chain stores. Their business is not photography. Send your files online to Nations Photo lab. www.nationsphotolab.com .
Flawless quality and great prices. They also have frequent sale prices on prints. I use them for all my work. >Alan

Have you tried printing at Wal Mart or Target?
