About user:
Interests: Photography, music, biking Biography: My serious interest in photography goes back to 1959 when I started to work in a darkroom. I shot 120 roll film for many years before switching to 35 mm. Meanwhile, I did all my own developing and printing in both b/w and color. It was certainly the way to learn photography. Around 1998, I left the darkroom for Photoshop. In those days, it was a matter of convenience but today, I believe that digital cameras and software have conventional photography beat in all regards. The ability to fine tune photographs or rather, small areas, is astonishing.

I shoot landscapes, people, sports and events. My main gear is the Canon 80D, Sigma 70-200 f/2.8, Sigma 24-70 f/2.8, Sigma 150-600 , Sigma 18-300, ExpoDisc, XRite ColorChecker, tripods and Canon 550 EX flash. My software is Lightroom and Photoshop.

Photography is an ever-changing science in the service of art and history. You never stop learning.
