Folks, maybe not what you thought, but I found a great looking haunted house. Well, I don't know if it's haunted or not, but someone took the time to clear away years of brush and growth that surrounded this place. I was quite
shocked driving by, and I drive by a lot...didn't even know there was a house in those woods. The road is only about 40 yards
from the front porch. Seemed like a cool place to photograph, so I did.

Looks like a good place to investigate. Nice shot James.

It always pains me when I see these derelict old homes because I am thinking about all the hopes and dreams of its owners and children raised their just fading away. Thanks for the memories, great shots.

Lovely shots and great story James. Now that the vegetation is gone the first strong wind will blow this little house down!

Very interesting old house and well captured, James. Looks like someone in the past attempted to save it by encasing portions of it in concrete which has since crumbled away.

Thanks for stopping by Folks, whoever is working on this project was careful to clear away some pretty big trees and heavy brush around this old house. I have a local photographer friend looking into it. He is quite an historian too, so stay tuned. I'll reveal what he finds out here on this thread. He's going by to investigate tonight.

Interesting yes. It appears to be melting back into the countryside. I'm green.

I agree, me too Steve, I'm sadden when I see these run down places. However, I go ahead and photograph them...if I don't capture what's left, soon there will be nothing left but rubble. Thanks for stopping by.

Definitely haunted. But the least the spooks could do is paint the place, lazy good-for-nothings.

Great find and great camera work James! Maybe somebody considers this a fix-me-upper, or maybe they are getting it ready for halloween. It can't fall down with all the trees growing up around it.

Fascinating structure James. I too would love to poke around this place a little. I spotted an old bottle in the rocks-maybe a little moonshine? Thank you for sharing.
