Beautiful shot, and the blur is the perfect way to capture the effort envolved on the part of the bird!

Did he manage to hang on to it, Regis? Sure hope so after all his work! Very good action shot!

I had a tough time getting good overall focus with the flurry of activity between the bird and the fish,
but the photo still turned out okay.
I thank you very much, marsdad.

Another prize winner. I like the motion blur. It accentuates the birds flight. This is one of those times when tack sharpness distracts from the effect.

You could be right about this. I thank you, boberic, for your good analysis of my photo.

All that action going on and you still get the eyes in focus....

It's almost a miracle that I got the osprey's head in focus. The bird went into the water about 3 times
trying to hold on to this over-sized salmon.
I appreciate your great reply, nanaval.

Love this image. I think the slower shutter speed adds to the drama.

The blur did seem to help with the dynamic struggle going on with the osprey and the salmon.
So, I agree with you on your good assessment, DougS.

Yes, the Osprey hung onto the salmon and flew away into the trees to munch on the fish.
I thank you, Sue and Al, for your very good comment.

Regis it has been quite a while since I have been here. Your skill level has remarkably improved "very professional". I think that this image stands just as it should be, don't change a thing. It portray's life struggle exceptionally.
Technically I love it, wonderful color, detail and blur in in just the right proportions. Framed 16X20 Minimum! Thanks for sharing!
